The Sand Dweevil is a dweevil appearing in Pikmin 3 (Flish version). When threatened, a Sand Dweevil will shoot out sand, immediately killing any Pikmin caught in the attack except Tan Pikmin, which are immune to it. They appear as rather annoying enemies wandering about boss arenas. They, along with Armored Dweevils, are the only kinds of dweevils that appear aboveground.

The Sandstone Dweevil is an enemy exclusive to Mission Mode in Pikmin E, found only in the Dry Passages. A species of dweevil covered in a hard coat of sandstone and with water-producing glands to keep it cool, it wanders around blindly searching for Pikmin and leaders to crush under its weight.

The Sandy Dweevil is a type of dweevil that appears in Pikmin: The After Years. It is a dark yellow dweevil with dark yellow eyes. It acts similarly to most other lesser dweevils, as it can pick up treasures and may run away from threats. The Sandy Dweevil can create a cloud of sand that suffocates all Pikmin in it. Since no Pikmin are immune to sand, they will all suffocate from it, but they can be whistled to save them. The Sandy Dweevil has the potential to endanger the lives of any Pikmin around it, but Purple Pikmin can easily stun it. Using leaders to take out the small creature may be wise since its signature attack does not affect them.
