The Sandy Wollywog is an amphituber appearing in Pikmin: The After Years. Much like the Sandy Bulborb and its dwarf counterpart, the Sandy Wollywog is made entirely of sand. The Sandy Wollywog has a pale yellow body, gold-colored eyes and feet, and three brown stripes on its back. Sandy Wollywogs are known for hanging from ceilings and falling down to surprise prey passing underneath. When it lands from the ceiling or from jumping, a cloud of sand will shoot out from around the creature, suffocating Pikmin that touch it. Like most amphitubers, the Sandy Wollywog can crush leaders and Pikmin by landing on them. Swarming is not a recommended tactic to use against this creature, and throwing Pikmin on top of it works best. Purple Pikmin are very useful since they can stun the Sandy Wollywog as well as deal high damage to it. Upon death, a Sandy Wollywog will disintegrate into a pile of sand.
