Notes
Olimar's notes
- “It's strange, the armor seems to be metal, but when the Dolphin scanned it, it was unidentified. I wonder what it could be?”
Louie's cookbook
- “Inedible. Poison literally courses through its veins and is embedded in the skin. Would not recommend eating it, but I would use White Pikmin. Why isn't Olimar covering this?”
Eli's notes
- “Wow. An armored scornet. How original.”

The Scornet Guard appears in Pikmin: Dual Worlds as a variant of Scornet that exclusively appears alongside the Scornet Maestro. There are about twenty-five of them on the field at a time, and directly protect the Maestro itself. Once the Maestro gets below half health, it will begin to use the Guards in attacks in addition to the normal Scornets. The Scornet Guards need to be killed in order for the Maestro to become vulnerable. It has armor protecting its upper half and a long blue tail, and is a good deal bigger than the average Scornet, about the size of a Dwarf Bulborb.
In ultra-spicy mode, while the Scornet Maestro is at half-health, the Scornet Guards directly attack Pikmin and leaders without instruction.
