The Shifty Elementick is a dangerous powerasite in Pikmin: Dual Worlds that, instead of injecting its host with genetic code allowing for a new ability, steals the genetic code of creatures. To do so, it latches onto the host, absorbing its genetic material along with nutrients, taking the host's traits and reducing its health. A Shifty Elementick takes only five seconds to steal a trait and thus can have several victims in a short timeframe. Traits it can take can be elemental abilities or unique offensive or defensive measures, although with every trait it steals, the slower it moves and the bigger it gets. Eventually, it can burst as a result of its greed, spreading its elementally charged insides everywhere, killing itself in the process. However, after stealing an umbloda's elasticity, it can steal even more traits without bursting. Shifty Elementicks can not steal a large boss's abilities, only copying them, and can not steal or copy any extradimensional or paranormal enemy's abilities due to their general incorporeality. They are also incapable of stealing an Onion's ability to sprout Pikmin, can not steal from a candypop and presumably be able to produce Tickmin, and can not steal a Pikmin's ability to mature. When they die normally, they shrink slightly due to air escaping their lungs.
