The Sleet Pumphog is a species of blowhog appearing in Pikmin: Spark. Dwelling in colder climates, this species of pumphog sucks in snow and other frozen material to collect small seeds and bugs underneath for nourishment. This, however, also causes its stomach to contain a large amount of ice, which it shoots out as an attack. Taking the form of an icy mist, the attack freezes any creature unfortunate enough to come into contact with it. In the case of Pikmin, they are stopped in place and, when attacked, shatter, killing them instantly. Any of the mist that touches the ground freezes it, causing traction to become worse for Pikmin and other similar creatures. Hairy Pikmin are the best Pikmin to use against a Sleet Pumphog as they are immune to the mist's freezing effects and can effectively traverse icy terrain. Like all pumphogs when defeated, it sinks into the ground and becomes irretrievable, but yields a random assortment of sparklium seeds and pellets.
