The Spangled Bloyster is a large, normally passive mollusking in Pikmin: Dual Worlds with brightly colored patterns on its body, and a tail displaying advanced frondescence and with a large gill bulb on its end that changes color almost constantly. It generally is harmless, even to the point of allowing other creatures, such as Pikmin and leaders, to walk on its back. However, if it suffers any harm, it will quickly become extremely hostile, and even more dangerous than its relative, the Ranging Bloyster. It happens to be particularly fond of Burgeoning Spiderwort berries as well as the toxic Tropical Blinnows in the areas in which it lives, those two making up most of this mollusking's diet. Similarly to a particular smaller mollusking, the Burgeoning Bloyster, it can make use of the assorted attributes of the berries in the form of sprays, which is especially effective in the underwater environments it is found in, but the Spangled Bloyster makes use of the nectar of all varieties of berry rather than that of a limited selection.
