The Strong-Armed Cannon Beetle, also known as the Greater Lithopod, is a species of lithopod that is only mentioned, never seen, in the official Pikmin games. Its carapace is weaker than that of the Armored Cannon Beetle, a continental breed much like itself, which evolved from it. It also ejects fragments of stone rather than whole boulders.

The Strong-Armed Cannon Beetle is a boss in Pikmin: Decayed Leaf's Withered Remnant DLC. The creature resembles an Armored Cannon Beetle but has a dark red carapace with orange stripes. Along with this, its legs are extremely massive and elongated, to a point where the beetle's main body is held slightly above the ground. The beetle has white, glowing eyes, and a large mouth from which boulders are fired. However, the underside of its body has a soft, red belly that can be attacked.
The Strong-Armed Cannon Beetle is found in its arena, sleeping. If provoked, it will wake up and stand on its legs, revealing its true height. The Cannon Beetle will begin to inhale a clump of dirt from the ground and, after aiming at Pikmin, fire out a large boulder that can crush them. Not only is this boulder much larger than any other Cannon Beetle's boulders, but this boulder will release enemies stored inside of it when it bursts upon impact with a wall. It can leave behind Male Sheargrubs and Female Sheargrubs, along with Shearwigs, and occasionally a Sloogoo or Satchel Snitchbug. While it prepares to fire a boulder, a leader safely can sneak under the creature's body and throw Pikmin on its belly. However, once the attack is performed, the Beetle will smash its body into the ground, crushing any Pikmin underneath it. It will also do this if attacked underneath while not firing. Defeating a Strong-Armed Cannon Beetle for the first time will reward the player with the "Deadlifting Beetle" achievement.
