The Tropical Mamuta appears in Pikmin: The First Colony, and is encountered on the sixty-first sublevel of the Cave of 200 Ordeals. It is like a regular Mamuta but looks to be part-plant, and instead of flowering the Pikmin it buries, it changes their maturities to the bud stage. This can be disadvantageous to the creature, as the Pikmin it buried will mature to the flower stage once enough time has passed, whereas Pikmin a Mamuta buried will eventually wilt and then regrow into the leaf stage.
