The Tunnelshrub Mocktor is a large plug-bug that lurks in the deepest recesses of the Jungle of Trickery in Pikmin X: Deep Freeze. At each corner of its arena are six conspicuous bushes, each one concealing an entrance to this creature's burrow from which it can peer out of to look for prey. Essentially, the entire fight with the Tunnelshrub Mocktor is like a game of whack-a-mole; attack the beast's head once it emerges from a burrow before it can retreat again. Complicating this is that any of the burrows which are not occupied by the Tunnelshrub Mocktor's head are instead filled by its own spiny body segments. In this case, throwing Pikmin at those will merely knock them back, stunning them, without damaging the creature.
The Tunnelshrub Mocktor will occasionally fully emerge from its burrow and slither around the arena looking for Pikmin to eat, which it incapacitates by running over with its spiked body. It may also charge from one burrow to the next in order to make a quick getaway while also scooping up Pikmin along with it. When defeated, the Tunnelshrub Mocktor leaps out of its current burrow and falls to the ground. The Pikmin instinctively carry it by the head to avoid touching the sharp spines.
