Useful links

Sorry for the tardy welcome. We wait for new registered users to make their first constructive edit. But besides that, your first edit seems pretty good, there were only just minor errors on them, which I fixed. But other than that, I hope you'll enjoy your time here and happy editing! Appreciated, thanks. I'll try to follow up with additional ROM page updates. Though I'm unsure if the comma change you made was necessary. In the notes section, my usage was identical to the notes found in the actual 251 ROM. Is there something I should know? --Alcedrion (talk) 02:07, 19 May 2022 (UTC)

Welcome to Pikmin Fanon, and thank you so much for helping document Pikmin 251! It's much appreciated. Notes should be presented in their original form, although they can be edited to correct spelling and punctuation errors. It might be better to just point out that errors present in notes here were in the source material, but I digress. You can use the Dwarf Painted Bulborb's page as a basis for the other pages related to the game, although only the custom enemies have entries written for them. If you'd like, I'll make pages for some of the hacks I've played that currently are not documented on the wiki. ~ Cheepy-Cheepy icon.pngCheepy-Cheepy

Understood, thank you. I'll leave the new pages to your decision as there is still a lot to do for 251. I'll likely visit the canon enemies present in the ROM as well. --Alcedrion (talk) 02:36, 19 May 2022 (UTC)

You're welcome. Sounds good to me. Guess that gives me a good reason to really finish off the backlog of pages I want to edit so I can get back to updating the canon enemy articles! ~ Cheepy-Cheepy icon.pngCheepy-Cheepy

As per your request, I re-added the Battle Mode field to {{infobox enemy}}, and also {{infobox plant}}. ~ Cheepy-Cheepy icon.pngCheepy-Cheepy

Thank you! --Alcedrion (talk) 18:56, 23 May 2022 (UTC)

You're welcome! ~ Cheepy-Cheepy icon.pngCheepy-Cheepy

hey man

You could check out my blog now that there's atleast 1 person other than me active here - MPA(Talk)

That's a bit insensitive considering Username and myself are both active contributors. ~ Cheepy-Cheepy icon.pngCheepy-Cheepy

yeah sorry you werent active during me typing this - MPA(Talk)

Haha. I'll look, but I won't say much. I'm really only here to add documentation for Pikmin 251 and maybe some other hacks. --Alcedrion (talk) 20:46, 28 May 2022 (UTC)

Treasure Hoard

About the icons of returning treasures, you can upload the files you already have from the game, as that would be better than painstakingly saving them from Pikipedia and then uploading them here. Pikmin 2's treasure icon files should start with "P2", as all other Pikmin 2 files do, and Pikmin 251's should be the same, except headed by "P251". The Treasure Hoard page looks great, by the way! ~ Cheepy-Cheepy icon.pngCheepy-Cheepy  02:28, 2 June 2022 (UTC)

Alright, understood. It'll take me a long time before I begin, but the icons will happen eventually. --Alcedrion (talk) 06:47, 2 June 2022 (UTC)

Do I resize the 251 icons to be 40x40? The game seems to be using 32x32 files. --Alcedrion (talk) 01:30, 22 June 2022 (UTC)

I'd say to keep them at 32x32. They can always be updated at a later date, if at all. ~ Cheepy-Cheepy icon.pngCheepy-Cheepy  14:07, 22 June 2022 (UTC)

Re:Treasure Hoard and gallery

The page name could be [[Pikmin 251/Treasure Hoard/Gallery]] and be linked to at the beginning of P251's Treasure Hoard page. The gallery could be separated into sections based on treasure series much like how P251's Treasure Hoard's page is currently, and the images could be in the same order as presented in each series. Some users have their games' Treasure Hoard subpages link to subsubpages dedicated to the series featured in them, which is a valid approach, even if treasure series pages don't have guidelines presently. As each series will have its own page, their tables shouldn't be made to be collapsible. Also, good work, as always, on the upgrades page! ~ Cheepy-Cheepy icon.pngCheepy-Cheepy  23:33, 5 July 2022 (UTC)

Sounds good to me! ~ Cheepy-Cheepy icon.pngCheepy-Cheepy  04:08, 6 July 2022 (UTC)

Oh, and about the treasure screenshots: you can just photograph them from the Treasure Hoard menu instead of their in-game location. It's what I did with the custom enemies, just in the Piklopedia. Also, I don't believe screenshots of the treasure collection screens are necessary, but I'd like to hear what you think. ~ Cheepy-Cheepy icon.pngCheepy-Cheepy  14:47, 7 July 2022 (UTC)

That's fair, and I would rather you use them than painstakingly retake them. And I agree with you about the analysis images, but the screenshots of the treasures in the location they are found should suffice... for now, at least. ~ Cheepy-Cheepy icon.pngCheepy-Cheepy  17:47, 7 July 2022 (UTC)

Hello Random Online Human!

Er, I think you're prob human at least. You happen to be online, and I'm bored, and also I'm trying to meet people, so you've been cursed with my presence! Yay, nice to meet you! It's me! Christal! (Wanna Chat?) 11:25, 13 July 2022 (UTC)

Haha, thanks for the greeting. I'm mainly here to contribute to the documentation of Pikmin 251 and not much else. I've noticed that you are making a pretty ambitious fangame, so I wish you luck on that.--Alcedrion (talk) 21:15, 13 July 2022 (UTC)

Oh yea, thanks! Writing up my game might take a while lol -It's me! Christal! (Wanna Chat?) 12:19, 14 July 2022 (UTC)

Wistful Wild

Hey, just wanted to say that P251's Wistful Wild article is stellar! I also updated the game's main page, so now you can simply click on links and easily get to creating the area, cave, 2-Player Battle, and Challenge Mode location articles. Cheers! ~ Cheepy-Cheepy icon.pngCheepy-Cheepy  15:46, 15 July 2022 (UTC)

Trivia points

In Flooded Fields' article, would it be worth mentioning that the main water plane was once cut-off at the ramp near where the Geographic Projection was in Pikmin 2? And in Mystical Beach's article, that Blue Pikmin could once be discovered before the electric gate blocking access to them was destroyed? I would assume the latter one was fixed, but I know for sure that the former is. ~ Cheepy-Cheepy icon.pngCheepy-Cheepy  14:16, 26 July 2022 (UTC)

Any additional information would be great, but I'm really slow at wording text. You are free to add whatever while I focus on the content lists and images of new articles. And both of those errors are still ingame, at least in version 2.3.1 which I assume is the latest version. Blue Pikmin are actually blocked by a white poison gate, but they can still be whistled early and harmed by the obstacle. --Alcedrion (talk) 20:57, 26 July 2022 (UTC)

Don't be afraid to take your time; I'd much rather have the content output be slow, thorough, and high-quality, which your writing always is, than fast, superficial, and shoddy. And okay, I'll find some way to add that information. ~ Cheepy-Cheepy icon.pngCheepy-Cheepy  14:50, 27 July 2022 (UTC)

New guidelines

Thought these new stage article guidelines might help you document those 2-Player Battle Mode articles. ~ Cheepy-Cheepy icon.pngCheepy-Cheepy  17:40, 9 August 2022 (UTC)

Thank you! --Alcedrion (talk) 20:43, 9 August 2022 (UTC)
