Attacks Weaponizes Pikmin and objects, buries Pikmin

The Vacuum Pumphog is a species of blowhog appearing in Pikmin: Spark. It is a yellow-bodied pumphog with a face that is mustard yellow. They appear in dens, where they spend their time patrolling the many small mounds they pop out of. Uniquely among pumphogs, this one doesn't shoot rocks, as instead, it uses its powerful lungs to suck up small items and launch them as an attack. Pikmin are among the things it can suck up, and they are fired as projectiles directly at leaders. When weaponized Pikmin land on the ground, they are planted and become sprouts. Vacuum Blowhogs can also suck up items such as refuse and corpses, although they get stuck in their mouth, presenting an opportunity to attack the creatures. After some seconds, however, it shoots the problematic object, larger objects crushing anything in the way. Alternatively, Purple Pikmin or Rock Pikmin can be thrown into the pumphog's mouth while it inhales to get the Pikmin stuck inside its mouth, allowing the helpless creature to be attacked. As with other pumphogs, Vacuum Pumphogs don't become a corpse when defeated, only leaving behind a small quantity of sparklium or pellets instead.

Notes

Abel's medical journal

I once got my hand stuck inside the creature trying to dissect the lungs. It still has a powerful breath even after death.

Lyn's sale review

Forget the gross, polluting car, using these animals for transportation is the next big thing. Note: we are not responsible for any hurt legs or ribs when trying these out.
