The Vengeful Kobamite is an uncommon flugitile in Pikmin: Dual Worlds that tends to be encountered asleep on top of a large rock. If woken up, it will proceed to leap down, and attack by slashing at prey with its sharp tail spikes, biting prey, and, if it has prey or an attacker on its back, by lifting the upper layer of its scales and shaking itself, which usually results in prey either being skewered or sliced apart. It tends to attack slowly and predictably at first, but with each quarter of its health that is depleted, it gets a bit faster. This change is barely noticeable at first, but Vengeful Kobamites have very keen senses and will be able to tell if any others of their family have been fought, which can quickly result in a dangerous enemy. It's a bit smaller than its relative, the Shard-Tailed Whelpmite, even as adults. Unlike the Shard-tailed Whelpmite, however, it can be damaged everywhere on its body, not just on its soft underbelly.
This enemy was inspired by the Tonberry from the Final Fantasy series.
