The plantlike Weeping Glumbrella, in Pikmin X: Deep Freeze, is a dugsol that lives in the murky rivers of the Defiled Grounds with its tall body standing high above the surface. However, the pollution in the water is slowly causing these creatures to wither away; in this dormant form, it is completely incapable of harming Pikmin but is not worth attacking because of the polluted water surrounding it posing a threat to Pikmin. If the water is cleaned using the activation of a filtration device, the Weeping Glumbrellas spring to life and lower their feeding tentacles, which periodically extend outward around the creatures when Pikmin approach. Pikmin caught by these tentacles will be reeled in and eaten, so rush in to attack the glumbrella's stalk while its tentacles are raised to avoid casualties.
