This is a unified timeline of the Doom Saga as of the (currently) latest installment Pikmin: Echoes of Eternity.

Timeline of the Omniverse

Note: BI is an acronym that means Before Impact, as in before the events of Pikmin 1. AI is an acronym that means After Impact, as in during and after the story of Pikmin 1.

300,000,000,000 BI

  • The Godhead reigned supreme over the Higher Multiverse. In ∞ BI, the Godhead shattered into 3 gods, defeated by Doomwraith. This began time as we know it, 300,000,000,000 years before the events of Pikmin 1.
  • In 20,000,000,000 BI the 3 gods Asanja, Molraithus, and Wrasath broke away from the higher multiverse, tired of the emotionless and passionless existence. They created two crystals, as indicated in Pikmin: Redemption.
    • The light crystal creates the universe in a big bang, using the memories the gods had given it.
    • The dark crystal creates the Void, and in the void the Angel of Death is created.
  • Light energy creates the Aesahra, and Dark energy creates the Jikku.

  • Thames Zweihander is born, and later dominates the Jikku, and grows in power. (See: Ballad of Thames Zweihander). Thames merges with Hades, and Doom is created. In his void, he comes across the Angel of Death, pitying it. He said, "Work for me, or be trapped frozen in your prison forever." And it agreed to help. Doom names him Epoch. Epoch serves as Doom’s trusted warrior for thousands of years.
  • In 9,999 BI, the Imperium, already receiving word through their seers of Doom’s horrible reign over the cosmos, erects the Spire of Being and Tower of Balance to act as a magic barrier to keep him out.
  • Doom and Epoch conquer many worlds over the next millennium, and gather much power. In 8,640 BI Doom decides he wants to return to the Distant Planet, his homeworld, in order to conquer it for more power. He knows of the massive Pikmin population and magical reserves of the Imperium, and wants to absorb every being there.
    • Doom and Epoch approach the Distant Planet, but Doom becomes frozen when trying to enter the atmosphere. Enraged, Doom tries blasting it with hyperdimensional magics. No good. However, Epoch is able to enter without issue. Doom orders Epoch to enter the planet and begin the conquest without him.
    • Epoch enters the planet and finds the Imperium in their modern era, with cars, trains, and landline telephones, and such technology. He goes to attack the people, absorbing an entire city’s worth of people, and he moves on to the next city. He approaches it and suddenly an air raid siren goes off. 400 missiles go off, approaching Epoch rapidly. Epoch blasts a few of them but is quickly overrun by the missiles. He is about to be obliterated when a being of shining light flies in front of Epoch, taking the hits. It absorbs the nuclear energy and blasts it back at the planet, obliterating the surface. Pikmin in fallout shelters survive, but most of the surface is reduced to irradiated rubble.
    • The being reveals himself to be Omnis, incarnate of the higher multiverse. He offers Epoch to be joined inside Omnis, in exchange for eternal youth. Epoch agrees and is absorbed. After losing a psychic connection with Epoch, Doom is furious. He finally senses the source of the barriers: the Spire of Being and the Tower of Balance.
    • Frustrated, meditating in the vacuum of space, Doom hatches a plan. He teleports to the Jikku, and finds a whole population of souls that he had conquered over the past millennium. He absorbs them all, and teleports back to Distant Planet’s orbit. He uses the soul energy to create the Complex Parasite, and orders it to go to the surface and collect energy for him. The Parasite carries out its master’s bidding, and ventures down to the planet.
  • The Complex Parasite detects that the biodiversity on the planet is low and radiation levels are high, so it buries underground in an onion-like cocoon to hibernate until the time is right.

Olimar's Visit to Duron

  • Being sent back in time from 3 AI, Olimar treks around on Duron. Eventually, he reaches Doom, and defeats him.

Pikmin 1

  • The events of Pikmin 1 begin, and Doom sends the meteor to crash Olimar, hoping to destroy a potential threat to his plans. Olimar crashes into the Distant Planet. Once Doom senses that Olimar landed safely, he orders the Complex Parasite to awaken and collect Dark Spores, sensing them to be the last remnants of Dark Magick. Complex Parasite has been so entrenched in the cocoon, however, that it cannot leave. So it sends out armies of Puffstools and Puffmin to collect the Dark Spores.
  • Doom senses what the Pikmin have become - mindless drones in a hivemind, no complex intelligence, and no magic (save for some elemental resistances), and he becomes disgusted, no longer even wanting to absorb their energy. He knows Olimar is special, having been destined to defeat him, so his new mission is to defeat Olimar.
  • Later, Doom enchants the Emperor Bulblax, having sensed Olimar needed the last ship part it had swallowed. He orders it to kill Olimar with extreme prejudice. Olimar wins. The events of Pikmin 2 begin shortly thereafter.

Pikmin 2

  • Doom senses that Olimar is collecting all of the treasures on the planet, and enchants the Titan Dweevil, giving it its enchanted weapons from treasure husks. He has the Titan Dweevil enchant Louie from a distance to lure him in, hoping Olimar will take the bait. Olimar wins. Doom is furious, being foiled twice.

Pikmin: Sinister Incinerator

  • The Complex Parasite is growing in power by collecting more Dark Spores. Doom, seeing as how Olimar defeated the Emperor Bulblax and the Titan Dweevil, two of his puppets, now knows he must be more involved if he wants Olimar dead. He influences him with Dark Magick to go to the Complex Parasite’s home, the Worlds Beyond. Olimar defeats the Complex Parasite and Empire Deathstool.

Pikmin: Redemption

  • Omnis lures Olimar to the Void, knowing that Doom wants him. He plans to absorb Olimar and gain the ability to defeat Doom. Omnis (and by extension, Epoch), are defeated however.
  • Doom, monitoring the events on the Distant Planet, is desperate for another minion. So he reanimates the Complex Parasite and scrambles its molecules to give birth to the Kripto, leaving the Dark Spore behind. Doom senses his minion's propensity for defeat and also creates Venom Parasite using the energy he collected from a nearby dying star.

Pikmin: Global Breakdown

  • The Venom Parasite begins its task of gathering a dark spore from the Worlds Beyond, and hijacking the giant Tick and causing it to suck away all the life from the Distant Planet in order to collect energy for Doom.
    • As a failsafe, Doom creates the element Kryptonite to use as a weapon against Olimar if the Venom Parasite fails. He also summons an ancient golem named Ultima Penumbra to act as a warrior to take down Olimar. Doom imbues Penumbra with dimensional magicks, linking it to the planet Duron. If Penumbra falls in combat, it will open a wormhole that sends Olimar to Duron, 10,000 years in the past. Doom infects the moon of Krypton with Kryptonite in the past, setting a trail on Duron to lead Olimar to it.
  • Olimar defeats Venom Parasite.
    • The Distant Planet was now shriveled and sullen, on the verge of ecological collapse. Olimar and co. return to Hocotate.

Pikmin: Ultimate Doom

  • Olimar returns to the Distant Planet. Doom's minions been defeated countless times by Olimar, Doom decides the only real way to end Olimar was to attack him directly. However, since the Spire of Being and Tower of Balance were still on the Distant Planet, Doom couldn't attack him there. He had to lure Olimar to Duron.
    • (Olimar defeats Doom, and dies.)
