“This loathsome creature is in fact a parasitic form of Pikmin that has infected a juvenile Orange Bulborb. Unlike Pikmin that nest in Onions, this parasitic relative spends its life inside the body of a host, usually a bulborb. Juveniles fall in line and mimic the actions of their parent until maturing to full independence. This particular variety retains the high-strung nature of its non-infected counterpart. Although they don't share their cousins' nocturnal nature, they are keen on attackers and will dodge if need be.”

“Cut the adult's savory steaks from its rump, rub with allspice and salt, and tenderize until it is nice and soft. Grill until the meat is pink in the middle, and apply a helping or two of garlic butter to taste.”

Orange Bulbmin are a new Bulbmin species appearing in Pikmin I. It is a Parasitic Pikmin closely related to the Red Bulbmin. Like other Bulbmin, it can nest in Onions. They are mostly known for silly acts.

- “This parasitic Pikmin manages to overthrow a Bulborb in its larval stage, taking over. It then creates unusual levels of chaos; one post-larval subject can manage to murder two adult dwarf bulborbs. This level of chaos is unusual in Pikmin, even in the sub-family parasiticus. This renders them an immediate threat to adult bulborbs if in groups of four.”

Orange Bulbmin appear in Pikmin: Dimensional Breach as one of the many new Bulbmin breeds. They are only immune to fire, poison, electricity, and sand, but they retain their cautious nature from Pikmin: Revenge of the Darkfreeze incarnation, even automatically dodging enemy attacks even without being ordered to with the Dodge Whistle. They can be taken to the surface, but as they have no Onion, they have to be stored in the S.S. Drake. Orange Bulbmin can now be created by feeding a Juvenile Orange Bulborb a few Green Pikmin. Adult Orange Bulbmin will also roll out of the way of Pikmin thrown on top of them unless the Captain attacks from behind.

The Orange Bulbmin is a Bulbmin subspecies appearing in Pikmin: Revenge of the Darkfreeze. It appears as a miniature Orange Bulborb with an orangish stem, not unlike that of a Pikmin, growing out of its back. Upon maturing, such as from drinking nectar, its petals are yellow, like other Bulbmin. They sometimes appear in place of other Bulbmin in caves, and like other Bulbmin, Orange Bulbmin hunt in packs, with an adult acting as the leader. The adult is hostile, and will notice leaders and Pikmin sooner and more easily than other adult Bulbmin. The juveniles are more strategic than other Pikmin and often sneak up from behind enemies when left idle, attacking them and being hard to shake off. Like other Bulbmin, they are immune to elemental hazards and can't be brought to the surface.

The Orange Bulbmin is the host of the parasitic Pikmin that has taken over a dwarf species of the Orange Bulborb. It roams metal caverns, searching for any unfortunate prey items to wander into its site. It can eat over 3 pikmin in one gulp and is faster than the standard bulbmin.
The offspring from defeating it are really useful, having the speed of a White Pikmin and throw height of Yellow Pikmin. They are always on edge, so they don’t get scared by enemies and panic, and because of their twitchy bodies, can easily get out of sticky obstacles. The downside is that they often trip, and cannot come to the surface.
They resemble a standard Orange Bulborb but with a yellowish stem protruding from their spine. Their children are actually fully formed, unlike other grub-dogs.
Due to having not as much health as normal Bulbmin, they are easily defeated with one Purple Pikmin or Rock Pikmin due to their massive amount of damage. Alternatively, land any other type onto its back.

- “To properly prepare this beast, massage the meat until it softens up, and remove the stems of the adult and youngsters. Cut slices off of the youngsters' bodies, and make a lot of chunks of the adult. With your youngster slices, you can use them for delicious pizza toppings, and you can fill the inside of the pizza with the chunks from the adult. If you’re feeling fancy, use the leaf as a garnish. Give the leftovers to a family pet or a next-door neighbor if you're generous.”
