Scientific name Iris cannotus
Family Cannon Tube

The Pocket Boombloom is a type of flower appearing in Pikmin: Spark. They are ground-lying flowers noted for their thin, blue, stiff petals. Unlike the Closing Boombloom their buds are constantly closed and they don't react to sounds made by whistling. Instead, this member of the Cannon Tube will suck in anything that comes near it and blast it automatically like a cannon. This in a way makes them the automatic counterpart of its closing boombloom relative as that needs stimulus to activate. It is not uncommon to see a cluster of these flowers lined up in a pattern that causes whatever gets shot to immediately enter a different one at another angle. This in the end allows the plant to be helpful in accessing hard-to-reach areas.

Notes

Abel's Medical Journal

Muscle tendons of this strange bloom contract quickly when touched with any stimulus, would be a good artificial muscle for those who lack limbs.

Lyn's Sale Review

Grow these flowers up in high areas to appreciate their beauty but also avoid any sudden cannon blasts.
