After world war III, the surviving non-Illuminati population fled from the irradiated wasteland that was once earth and settled on the habitable moons of Jupiter and Saturn. To make sure that the new society wasn't vulnerably to attack, the government set up the HQDG in 2107 to combat the Illuminati if they ever returned. Since they hadn't returned for so long, the HQDG decided to try and go on the offensive in 2168. They found various Illuminati related activities scattered throughout the quadrant, ranging from small to medium. Most of the Illuminati operations they uncovered were heavily centred around gene splicing projects. However, the projects didn't involve animals native to earth. The Illuminati had gone one step beyond and were mixing the gene splicing with their dimensional travel experiments. | |||

The HQDG (Human Quadrent Defence Grid) are the main allied force of Olimar in Pikmin: Triad war. They were set up by the non-Illuminati human population to fight The Illuminati.
History
After world war III, the surviving non-Illuminati population fled from the irradiated wasteland that was once earth and settled on the habitable moons of Jupiter and Saturn.
