The Armored Antenna Cannon Beetle is an enemy from Pikmin 4. It, like the name suggests, is a combination of a Cannon Beetle and an anntenna beetle. It has about the same health and defense as a standard armored cannon beetle, but it is much more slow and powerful. It looks like a normal cannon beetle, with the backside of a larva beetle, and it's eyes glow red instead of green. It also has antenna and it calls like an antenna beetle.
Notes
Olimar's Notes
A cross breed of various species in the kettlebug and lithopod families creates an awesome subspecies of the two families. It can suck in air/dust particles and shoot out a rock. If something clogs the air hole that it uses to suck in air particles, the beetle's bodily temperature rises dramatically and it must cool off. It also can do a whistle similiar to space captain's that attracts small creatures that are used to being whistled at, such as pikmin.
Louie's Notes
Edible, but it doesn't taste very good on it's own, so season it with sea salt and other various toppings.
How to kill
Pikmin
Virtually the same strategy as the cannon beetle, though now it is easier because of purple pikmin. BUT it has the antenna beetle's signature move, which it then attracts the pikmin into a formation so that it can smash your pikmin with it's rocks. You can call them back by whistling at them, so it's not to bad. Note:It only uses this attack after it shakes off pikmin, so call your pikmin back early, and they should be ok. However, yellow pikmin are extremely vulnerable to this attack, so keep them away from it. Battling it with about 20-30 reds, purples, or knights is extremely safe.
Captains
Spraying it with Ultra Sour Spray works, but it can be time consuming.
