Dwarf Prince Bulblaxes are the inmature versions of a Emperor Bulblax. They guard and protect the Emperor while he is sleeping.

Apperance

Dwarf Prince Bulblaxes have red eyes like the Emperor Bulblax does, but their eyes are normal sized. They still have fangs, and are missing the dropping cheeks. They still have the mossy hide like the Emperor does.

Attacks

The Dwarf Prince Bulblax can leap into the air and hover for a bit like a Wollywog, but this cannot cause any direct harm to leaders or Pikmin as this attack will just knock them away. If the group returns after the leaping attack, the Bulblax will try to eat the Pikmin with his small short-ranged tounge. It will pause for a moment, then completing the animation by swinging its tounge. It can catch 3 Pikmin at a time.

Areas

The Dwarf Prince Bulblax does not appear in any of the Story Mode areas, however it appears in the Challenge Mode level Bulblax Castle. In the final sublevel, 12 Dwarf Prince Bulblaxes can be found around the Emperor Bulblax.

How to Defeat

When it pauses with its tounge about to catch Pikmin, throw Pikmin at its face. It will then flip over, exposed to all Pikmin attacks. 3 Pikmin throws on it will defeat it. If Olimar tries to throw Pikmin at its hide, they will simply bounce off.

Tricks & Tips

When the Dwarf Prince Bulblax is about to leap, move away quickly. The Pikmin might be thrown near the Emperor Bulblax. Also be alert where it is going to land, since the Pikmin can also be thrown from the impact. When given the chance, quickly throw Pikmin at its face. This trick is faster than waiting for its tounge animation. However, it is dangerous because this trick only works if the Dwarf Prince Bulblax is around the others and Emperor Bulblax.
