Onion Seeds are a very special type of seed, as they can grow entire Onions. Various Onion Seeds are scattered throughout the world, you can collect these seeds to grow the Onions. The only place you can grow them is at the Garden. Unfortunately, the Garden is nearly devastated because of the Great Volcano. The three original Onions are found, however. There is no "Bulbmin Onion Seed"; you store Bulbmin in the Ship. Onion Seeds include:
- Purple Onion Seed
- White Onion Seed
- Orange Onion Seed
- Green Onion Seed
- Cyan Onion Seed
- Burgundy Onion Seed
- Brown Onion Seed
- Grey Onion Seed
- Silver Onion Seed
Growing the Onion
When you collect an Onion Seed, go to the Garden (after it's restoration) and a there will be a glowing dot on the ground. A humorous cutscene will unfold then. The Research Pod will go to the dot, then turn upside-down to eject the Seed into the dot. You must then go to the Garden for 24 more days, otherwise the Onion will wilt. On the 4th day, you will notice that several plants of a different color (i.e. there would be white plants if you planted a White Onion Seed) would be growing in the spot of the glowing dot. On the 10th day, you'll notice the plants will be binding together, then on the 20th day, barely any holes would be visible, also the hue of the color would be decreasing. Finally, on the 25th day, the Onion is ready to pop out of the ground. You just gained another Onion!
