Attacks Eats Pikmin

The Pearly Bloyster is a type of Bloyster found in caves in Pikmin: Elemental Speciation. it has a hard, crystalline shell, but otherwise looks very similar to a typical Toady Bloyster. The only difference in appearance once the armor is removed is their leafy tails being brown instead of green. It can be broken by Rock Pikmin. Similar to its Pikmin 3 appearance, it can be damaged lightly on its body, but takes more damage from attacks targeting its tail. It also has a hard shell on its tail, which can be broken to expose it.

Its scientific name is based on the latin word for pearl, Margaritum and the latin word for shell, Concha.

Notes

Olimar's notes

As a defense against the dry air of the regions it inhabits, it has evolved a pearlescent coating to preserve its moisture. The coating hardens in response to trauma, but remains flexible and porous underwater to allow absorption of water.

Louie's notes

The rookie mistake that nearly every chef will make on their first time cooking this beast is removing the shell before cooking. In fact, if you leave the shell on, you can preserve much more of its tenderness. Pry the shell off afterwards with a sharp utensil to remove the chance of some remaining stuck to the creature.

Shacho's notes

Not only is this creature's shell very pretty, and would be useful for jewelry, it could be used in flexible armor of some sort, which would be useful in some types of spaceships.
