Details

These are Snagrets that have been infected by a DeathSpike Fragment. They usually appear where there is soft ground, such as dirt, sand, and loose ash. They are found in a variety of environments. If it gets its beak stuck in the ground, it will burrow back underground. It can catch thrown Pikmin in the air.

Appearance

It has purple scales and spikes on its neck or back. It has a purple spot on its green beak, and it has black feathers. IT has a gray metallic ring surrounding its green eyes.

Attacking Strategy(s)

Attack it with Spike Pikmin anywhere on its body, and they will latch onto the spikes. If no Spike Pikmin are at hand, use Yellow or Winged Pikmin to attack its head. Rock Pikmin will not damage its beak.

Captain Notes

Olimar's notes: These creatures MortemClavum Annacondii or otherwise known as DeathSpiked Snagrets, are snavians infected with the DeathSpike fragment. These poor creatures make the classic snavian shrieks except it sounds as if there is a second voice to it. Its attacks include burrowing in to the ground and rushing up with its beak. Other times they will take their spikes and slam their body above ground onto the pikmin or captains with its spikes side. Any non-spike pikmin that makes contact will imedietly get killed. Spike pikmin can be thrown directly on the Spikes and while it is busy trying to get the spike pikmin off you can rush with wing pikmin at the non spike parts of the head. Or you can take your regular pikmin and command them to rush the bottom part that is closest to the ground. You can help them by killing them as soon as possible. They are horrifying creatures. Especially to red pikmin. --Olimar"

Louie's Notes: "Remove spikes and have a delicious poultry stew.-Louie"
