The Wailing Droneule is a small Droneule with a greyish body tint. Instead of a bulb, it has a small megaphone. When it is attacked, it will screech, attracting the attention of other enemies. It will awaken sleeping enemies, attract wandering enemies, and even cause burrowing monsters to rise from the ground! If another Wailing Droneule hears the alert, it too will screech, potentially causing a chain reaction.

Olimar's Notes
This Droneule is physically frail, but when attacked, it produces a loud noise through its hollow, oddly shaped head. This sound seems to have a compulsive effect, attracting the attention of many predators that hear it. Notably, it seems the noise itself doesn't cause the effect, but many predators have linked the noise to nearby prey. There are different kinds of calls produced by Wailing Droneules, each meaning a different thing. Recent research indicates these creatures live in large colonies, with many different subspecies dwelling, each playing a different role. The Wailing Droneule alerts the colony of emergencies.

Inedible. Consumption leads to uncontrollable shouting, overreacting, and temper tantrums.
How to Kill
It is best to stun these with Purple Pikmin, as they cannot call while they are stunned.
