The Prismal Long Legs is an member of the arachnorb family appearing in Pikmin 2: New Year. It is a relative of the Beady Long Legs. It is not seen until Pikmin or leaders draw near, causing it to fall from the ceiling. The Prismal Long Legs will, after stretching, then proceed to walk around in place or a random direction, stopping occasionally to stretch. Any Pikmin or leaders a Prismal Long Legs happens to step on will be crushed.
The Prismal Long Legs has numerous pastel-colored plates covering its body. The colors present on its body consist of pale yellow, light green, a soft orange, and a dull red.
Yellow Pikmin are extremely useful against a Prismal Long Legs due to its height, as its only weakpoint, its main body, is located far above the ground. They are not required, however, as any Pikmin species can reach the creature's core when it pauses to bend down every four to eight steps it takes. Purple Pikmin are useful against Prismal Long Legs' because of their ability to pound the creature's feet and cause it harm.
