The Paintcap is a species of sporovid appearing in the Castaway Mode DLC of Pikmin E: Remastered. It aimlessly wanders around, typically adorned with bright colors, the cap of it covered in paint-like oil. Upon spotting Pikmin, it will panic and attempt to flee, scattering the oil from its cap. If the oil hits any Pikmin, they will become confused and blinded. The only way to remedy this is to whistle them. Once out of oil, a Paintcap will go over to a nearby Dipper Oilpout, dipping its cap into the well in its head to replenish its oil supply.
