The shell of the Amphoric Greasponge is softer than that of the distantly related Glacial Helmuck and is shaped like a hollow cylinder. As the creature oozes along, it leaves a trail of oil that makes Pikmin slip and slide when they walk on it. When approached, it also occasionally gushes out a shower of oil drops from the top of its shell which splatter on the ground, leaving small puddles; Pikmin will also start drowning if an oil drop lands on them, even Blue Pikmin. The Amphoric Greasponge's entire shell is oozing with oil which makes it too slick for most Pikmin to attack, but Burr Pikmin can easily grab onto it. Be careful not to throw them directly atop the liquid pooled inside it shell itself, however.
