A Dark Bulborb attacks the small group of Black Pikmin who woke it up.

A Dark Bulborb is a Dark Enemy from Pikmin Choronicles. They are among the more common dark enemies in the game. They will sleep until approached, after which they will attack you. Even if you walk away, they will not go back to sleep, and instead, they will patrol the area like a Spotty Bulbear. Dwarf Dark Bulborbs also exist, mimicing their larger counterparts. They will run after pikmin much faster than other DEwarf Bulborbs, and just like Dwarf Bulbears, they will follow any awake Dark Bulborbs. Just like all dark enemies, they can only be killed with Black Pikmin.
