Lava Dumples are a new species of Grub-dog that dwells inside pools of lava and magma. They won't leave their lava beddings except to hunt for food or because they're bored. Since it lives in lava for most of it's life, it can't stand against water. If found with water, it could die. Red Pikmin are necessary to defeating one. Lava Dumples are red in color with green lips.

"This species of Grub-dog loves to settle inside volcanic waste and lava. They like to eat coal but will feast on insects and Pikmin trespassing their territory or in volcanic swamps. They are born in lava and will stay in it as such."
