In Pikmin: Revenge of the Darkfreeze, the Oily Dweevil is basically a Black Dweevil with red eyes and mandibles. Like other Dweevils, they run from Pikmin. They spray oil, which will make any Pikmin but Blacks (even captains), which as a result, are unable to attack temporarily.
To defeat an Oily Dweevil, use a Purple Pikmin, unless unavailable. Otherwise, use Black Pikmin. If all else fails, the Captain is your last hope.
