Pikmin: Regrowth is a collaborative project being worked on by multiple users.

Story

After Olimar had originally crashed on the first landing, and then he subsequently went back for a debt twice, and the Koppaites went to get food, their missions had became mainstream to the public of the two respective planets. Many companies and people become interested in researching, making a quick buck, or in general looking at the planet for many purposes for themselves, for others, for vacation, or just about anything.

The President of Hocotate Freight, who is now rich, starts an expedition and assigns the now famous Captain Olimar to lead the expedition. The expedition team plans to set ambitious goals of collecting as much of everything they can in order for study and to improve life as they know it for the people of Hocotate and Koppai. However, another mission, this one being private, is to find Louie, a local employee for Hocotate Freight who was accidentally left behind on PNF-404 before their newfound reputation was soiled.

When the crew of the new expedition go to PNF 404, something goes horribly wrong. They would have arriven at the night hours, when the Master Onion for the Pikmin would go to the sky, but one of the ship's engines malfunctions, and Olimar and his crew couldn't navigate the ship away, and incorrectly smashed into the Master Onion, causing the ship to explode, as well as the Master Onion, a freak accident that separates all the onions and crew members, and destroys the ship parts into many different locations.

Now Olimar must find his crew members, and repair the new ship they had taken to be able to store the treasures they plan to collect, as well as regrow all of the species of Pikmin to be able to finally return home with what he needs, all the while fending for himself.

Now the group must regrow each species of Pikmin from special Candypops in order to succeed their mission.
