The Purple Bulbear is a species of Bulbear appearing in Pikmin: Spark. They make their dwelling exclusively in Dens. Like their smaller kin, their bodies have a deep purple hue to them with magenta-colored eyes and an indigo head. They usually subsist off a diet of poisonous creatures and other usually inedible objects to build up an immunity to various toxins. Relevant toxins it is immune to include being poisoned by White Pikmin and getting petrified by Ultra-Bitter Spray. As dwarfs, they began getting used to constant indigestion and started to use their bad breath for hunting. Using their smoky breath they can spew it onto prey to petrify them into stone, freezing them in place before consuming them. This breath also affects all Pikmin except, ironically, Rock Pikmin meaning that type of Pikmin is best suited for fighting this creature.
