The Sprightly Munchirp is an enemy introduced in Pikmin V. It is a relative of the Antenna Spricket (Antenna Beetle) that, instead of producing mesmerizing sounds, has a pair of vertical incisors resembling a bear trap that it can eat Pikmin with. It will roam around the entire area it is found in and can jump out-of-bounds to get between different places. Its powerful leaping abilities allow it to engage and escape its prey with ease, making it a particularly annoying enemy to deal with.
