In Pikmin: Connection of the Worlds, a new subspecies of whiskerpillar is introduced; they are called Subterranean Whiskerpillars. They only appear in the Peaceful Well located within the Garden. Their appearance is different; they are colored blue and purple, instead of yellow and orange. They are slightly quicker than their overworld counterparts and have slightly more health. Other than that, they are not really any different from Ravenous Whiskerpillars. It is said that these are actually Ravenous Whiskerpillars, just adapted to an underground environment.
