The Treetle is a boss that first appeared in the game Pikmin:The After Years and is found in two locations. It is a giant brown turtle covered in a brilliant green moss with thorns on its head. This enemy is unique as it is the only boss-class enemy that has plant life on its back. It has one tree on its back which bear Chestnuts. Its shell is covered in a thick light green moss with rocks hat protrude from it, so its back cannot be penetrated, not even by Purple Pikmin. It will attempt to crush your, but luckily it moves slow. When enraged though, it will summon Twiggies. It can also summon vines from its back which can be used to grab Pikmin and smash them against walls. It will occasionally drop the Chestnuts on its trees, which is he only way to be able to attack it. Its weak spot is its tender underbelly.

How to Kill

The only way to kill it is by attacking its soft underbelly. The player would have to somehow obtain a Chestnut and wait for the Treetle to move its feet. Once its feet is in the air throw the Chestnut at it. It will fall on its back and struggle to get up. This is your chance to attack. Chuck Pikmin, (preferably Purples) on the beast. After about 5 seconds it will be back on its feet and stomp extremely fast, like the Raging Long Legs. Be careful for its vine attack though as it could prove deadly. Repeat the process and it should be defeated in no time.
