Attacks Eats Pikmin

The Anglerbite Snaremouth is an enemy in Pikmin: Dusk and Dawn that burrows into the ground, and mimics the sound of distressed Pikmin to lure leaders so it can eat unsuspecting Pikmin. This enemy is only found in caves, residing in dark and damp areas. They burrow into the ground, some of their teeth sticking out of the ground, but most importantly, their speaker-like antennae, which vibrate quickly to create sounds akin to the cries of a Pikmin. Their bodies are fat and slimy and of a muddy brown color, with dark brown spots near the bottom. Its tiny tail resembles that of a Pikmin sprout. Its eyes glow in the dark, though they are typically hidden in the ground. Throwing Bomb Pikmin or a bomb rock into its area of attack will cause it to spring up and swallow the bomb, which blows up in its mouth, killing it instantly. If its lunge is dodged, it will spend a decent amount of time attempting to burrow back into the ground, which is a good time to ambush it.

Notes

Olimar's notes

Anglerbite Snaremouth / Liquium sirenis pisces genera / Snaremouth family. Ah! How unexpected, it seems a creature has evolved to catch me off-guard, mimicking the cries of my Pikmin! It is as if the planet itself knows of my presence... How silly of an idea that is!

Louie's notes

Remove teeth and antennae, add desired stuffing, and bake at 120 degrees on high for 15 minutes. Slice into small, bite-sized pieces and serve with spring onion and other vegetables for a Thanksgiving recipe the whole family can enjoy!

Chacho's notes

What a cheapskate, playing dirty! If I had the chance, I'd bite it right in its bum!
