The Guild of Bulborbs is currently inactive due to a lack of staff to help maintain it. If you are a staff member and would like the guild to be revived, please consider taking a position.

The Bulborb's Guide to the Guild, also known as BGG, is a digest of information, tips, and suggestions for new members of the Guild of Bulborbs.

Introduce yourself

Welcome to the Guild of Bulborbs! As an apprentice bulborb, your first step is to know which of the following is your homepage:

No matter your homepage, visit its talk page and introduce yourself. Don't be shy! Tell your peers who you are and why you chose your current branch. You're sure to garner much attention because of the {{GuildNotice}} template announcing your acceptance into the Guild.

Find a mentor

Your next step is to find a mentor, a master bulborb, to guide and assist you. This should occur naturally after you introduce yourself, but if not, please go here to let the Spotty Bulbear know you'd like a mentor!

Finding a mentor is not required to begin contributing, but it is highly beneficial. Please know that your mentor must be part of the same branch as you.

Begin contributing!

Now that you're familiar with your role and homepage and have a mentor to help you out, you can start contributing! Feel free to tackle any of the tasks your position entails at your leisure.

Do know that your duties as a Guild member are not the only thing you can devote your time to. Please be sure to take periodic breaks to pursue other business on the wiki or in your life.

When a notice is made that the Guild is holding a vote, partake in it! The vote of an apprentice holds just as much weight as that of a master. The Spotty Bulbear ultimately will make the final decision, but the decision should be made in favor of the largest bunch of votes.

The next step

Once you have spent enough time in a branch and fulfilled certain requirements, you or a peer may notify the Spotty Bulbear that you are eligible for promotion to the rank of master, and the Spotty Bulbear will determine if you indeed are. The promotion carries additional responsibilities, but it also reinforces your position as a productive member of the Guild of Bulborbs. Being promoted requires your express permission, to avoid having more duties thrown at you.

Affiliation and involvement

Before you go, the Guild of Bulborbs has some templates you can place on your user pages, and a policy-abiding signature to place on talk pages, to show your support and be recognized for your contributions.

  • First and foremost, you can place the {{GuildNotice}} template at the top of your user page to ensure you can receive every notice put up by the Spotty Bulbear, by just visiting it.
  • In your {{userbox}} tower, you can place {{guild}} to show your support.
  • Your Guild signature, the one the Spotty Bulbear made for you, serves as your badge of office. Although you can use it whenever you'd like, it is most often used on Guild-related pages and while dealing with Guild affairs on other pages.
