The Pit of 100 Trials is a mode in Pikmin 8: The World Beyond that challenges the player to complete all 100 sublevels. It is unlocked after completing Story Mode. It is the only mode, and additionally cave, where it is possible to have all Pikmin types, even Glow Pikmin (if they have any glow seeds from story), in one place. The player starts with 10 of each Pikmin.

Difficulties

Normal – the normal version of the Pit of 100 Trials.
Spicy – a hard version of the Pit of 100 Trials. meaning more enemies that weren't from the normal mode, appear here.
Ultra-Spicy – an even harder version of the Pit of 100 Trials. Every enemy is now a dark (or a shadow) version of their normal counterparts. They have more HP, and more attack power.

It is also possible to play an endless mode of the Pit of 100 Trials.
