The Gemstone Goonbug is a member of the goonbug family that features a tough shell, which, while at first appearing indestructible as well as of similar appearance to an Iridescent Flint Beetle, is merely a fancy coating which, while giving minor protection, is mostly to show off for females. By throwing Rock Pikmin at its hardened backside, it and its fancy attire can be easily dispatched. Be careful though, as it plays dirty, and may try to jump on Pikmin to crush them. It is also able to reflect light at them with its shiny shell.
