The granka family consist of worm-like creatures that often latch onto or hide within walls or ceilings as they hunt prey.

Members

Ambusher Granka

Main article: Ambusher Granka

The Ambusher Granka hangs from stalactites by its long tail, dangling motionlessly in the dark. When Pikmin walk nearby, it suddenly lights up and starts swinging its large head around as it tries to burn the Pikmin with the trail of fire it leaves behind; Pikmin will have a hard time keeping their grip on the creature while it is in motion. It will eventually stop swinging to rest, and may simply lurch forward at Pikmin that draw too close, chomping down up to three Pikmin at a time.

Walleech

Main article: Walleech

The Walleech hides inside of conspicuous holes in the sides of walls. Should a Pikmin or leader draw too close, the creature will spring out and devour up to five Pikmin in front of the hole, then quickly retreat back inside. The Walleech's line of sight is rather generous, however, and its ambush can easily be thwarted by stopping short of walking past the hole itself, causing the beast to lunge at nothing and leave itself open to attack.
