Attacks Eats Pikmin, crushes Pikmin, creates waves, lays Hungry Wogpole eggs

The Translucent Wollywog is a mini-boss found at the bottom of the Hostile Aquifer. The large arena that this huge cave-dwelling Amphituber nests in is filled with shallow water and surrounded by spike-covered walls which stun Pikmin and leaders that touch them.

The Translucent Wollywog does not jump around very much, as it prefers to slowly crawl around the arena to try and crush them with its bulk; nevertheless, the creature will be prompted to leap to another part of the arena if attacked, creating a circular wave of water upon landing which will sweep Pikmin and leaders away from it and leave them vulnerable for a moment. These big splashes can also shove Pikmin into the spiked walls.

The Translucent Wollywog's other primary attack is to lay clumps of eggs which quickly hatch into Hungry Wogpoles, voracious tadpoles which will immediately start swimming towards Pikmin. However, the weak Hungry Wogpoles are only good at swimming straight forward and will often crash into the spiked walls and die instantly. The mini-boss will only lay a few eggs at a time.

Once defeated, the Translucent Wollywog falls over onto its back and spits out whatever treasure it had previously ingested.
