The Armored Antenna Cannon Beetle is an enemy from Pikmin 4. It, like the name suggests, is a combination of a cannon beetle larva and an Antenna Beetle. It has about the same health and defense as a standard Armored Cannon Beetle, but it is much more slow and powerful. It looks like a normal Armored Cannon Beetle, except with the backside of a larva beetle. Its eyes also glow red instead of green. It has antennae and it calls Pikmin like an Antenna Beetle. A certain version of it is a playable Captain.

"A cross breed of various species in the Kettlebug and Lithopod families creates an epic subspecies of the two families. It can suck in air particles and shoot a rock out of its snout. If something clogs the air hole that it uses to suck in air particles, the beetle's body temperature rises dramatically and it must cool off. It can also whistle, similar to space captain's, that attracts small creatures that are used to being whistled at such as Pikmin."

"Edible, but it doesn't taste very good on its own. Season it with sea salt and other various toppings to add flavor to the meal."
How to Kill
Pikmin
Use the same strategy used for an Armored Cannon Beetle, though now it is easier because of Purple Pikmin. However, it has the Antenna Beetle's signature move. Using that, it attracts Pikmin and commands them to stand in a line in front of it, allowing the beast to crush many Pikmin with it boulders. Affected Pikmin can be called back by whistling at them. It only uses this attack after it shakes off Pikmin, so call all Pikmin back early and they should be fine. However, Yellow Pikmin are extremely vulnerable to this attack, however, so keep them away from it. Battling it with about twenty to thirty Red Pikmin, Purple Pikmin, or Knight Pikmin is extremely safe.
Captains
Spraying it with Ultra Sour Spray works but it can be time-consuming.
