Boulder Starsnout

Template:Infobox Enemy The Boulder Starsnout is a rodent-like boss found in Pikmin Z. Despite its appearance, it is in the same family as the Bearded Amprat, and it resembles the appearance of the Real-World Star-nosed Mole, though its fur is grey with a raccoon-like "mask" around its eyes, and black patches on its front claws.

The Boulder Starsnout is a burrowing animal, and a distant relative to the Bearded Amprat and the Naked Amprat, though it lost its ability to produce electricity for a subterranean lifestyle. It is capable of creating landslides from its mole hill, and jump out of the ground at Pikmin when it burrows.

This odd animal is thought to lost its ability to produce electricity for a subterranean lifestyle. It is theorized that the strange appendages on the end of its snout are used to better locate prey underground and above the surface. A predator to many, Snagrets do tend to make a meal out of them regularly, and one above ground is vulnerable to many other predators.

Strategy

You encounter the Boulder Starsnout at the top of a tall hill, possibly made by the animal itself. The fight between you and the Starsnout is revolving around getting to the top of the hill, avoiding getting crushed by the landslides it creates. Once you make it to the top, you're able to throw your Pikmin onto it, until it shakes them off and throws your squad back to the bottom of the hill. Sometimes it will burrow underground to catch your pikmin from below, so be sure to watch where it jumps out to avoid losing any. Continue climbing the mole hill and attacking the creature until it falls.
