This is not actually a type of pikmin, rather it is what the main character is after he gets all of the pikmin powers. You become a clear pikmin with a normal flower(white colored). If light were to shine on you all the other colors of the rainbow (or in this case the colors of the pikmin in PR) would shine from the other side.

Abilities

This type of pikmin is really just a color change with no amazing powers. Through your flower you can use light to blind enemies for a few seconds and activate certain switches. You can still switch colors to gain that color's ability, so you don't have to worry about not being able to go back.

Location

You gain the Crystal Pikmin after finding the Morphing Candypop Bud and jumping into it.

In Pikmin:Gold/Silver/Bronze

The Crystal Pikmin is very much the same in Pikmin: Gold/Silver/Bronze as it is in Redemption. You can get this pikmin at the end of the game, but only when you beat the final boss at the end of the game. There is a certain cheat that you must follow to obtain it. It a rumored to be that way... but it MAY be just a rumor...

Pikmin: Shadow Planet

The Crystal Pikmin also appear in the game that I'm working on, Pikmin: Shadow Planet. They are almost invisible and can sneak past even the most edgy enemies without being seen. They are also as light as the yellows and can be thrown as far. They are the 8th pikmin you get and are encountered in the Grand Forest.

In Pikmin: Connection of the Worlds

Crystal Pikmin also appear in the game Pikmin: Connection of the Worlds, but are renamed Ultima Pikmin. They are found on the hidden 101st floor in the Chasm of Challenges through their respective Candypop Bud, the Power Candypop Bud. You can have up to 25 max, and they are resistant to everything, except being eaten by enemies or falling into an abyss. Ultima Pikmin also have the strength of 15 Pikmin, but are as fast as White Pikmin. They appear like the other two games, but have a nose, mouth/gills, and ears. They are truly the ultimate Pikmin.

Trick

It is possible to have more than 25 Ultima Pikmin, but you must follow these steps:

1: On your 5th visit to the Chasm of Challenges (when you have 20 Ultima Pikmin), throw only 4 Pikmin into the Power Candypop Bud. You will now have 24 Pikmin, but it will contribute to your 29 Pikmin.

2: When you go down to the 101st floor, the Power Candypop Bud will still be there! Now you have gained 29 Ultima Pikmin! Be warned, however: the game has been programmed to only recognize only 25 Ultima Pikmin, so creating your 29 Ultima Pikmin may cause the game to crash.
