Flitterbies are large flitterbies appearing in Pikmin: Redemption. They rarely appear, having a chance of coming out during the night in some areas, and in certain caves. Flitterbies glow many different neon colors to make them stand out against the dark they are commonly found in, but otherwise, there is nothing special about them. They are dealt with and defeated like Unmarked Spectralids, and they aren't worth much of anything. The vibrant coloration of a Flitterby swarm is intended to be vaguely reminiscent of the confetti that rains down from the top of the screen when a cave is completed in Pikmin 2.
