The mawdad family is a family of centipede-like creatures.
Members
Armored Mawdad

Armored Mawdad is a massive beast with a multitude of small gecko-like legs, a large head, yellow eyes, a bluish-green underbelly, a gaping mouth, and large curved mandibles. The boss crawls about and is able to climb up walls as a means of fleeing. Its shell is crystal and can be broken by Rock Pikmin to expose the soft skin underneath.
Crawling Mawdad

The Crawling Mawdad is the youngest stage of life for all mawdads.
Gilled Mawdad

The Gilled Mawdad is a massive mawdad that lives underwater but can emerge from the water to walk around on land. Its coloration is paler than the Armored Mawdad's, and it has two sets of red gills.

Tombcarver Mawdad
- Main article: Tombcarver Mawdad
The Tombcarver Mawdad is a relative of the Armored Mawdad that can spew acid from its mouth. It is brown in color and has a beige underbelly and green eyes. Covering it is armor made of beige rock that can be destroyed with bomb rocks. Purple Pikmin can also be used to destroy the creature's armor, if they are thrown in such a way that they pound it when they land on it.
