Plated Bulblax

The Plated Bulblax is slightly larger than a Fiery Bulblax and its skin is protected by tough plates, meaning that only the head is available to attack. This makes it a tough enemy unless you can find some bomb rocks and use them to blast the plates off of its body and attack the skin. The plates are actually parasites which live off of the bulblax, and after you blast them off, the plate will grow six spidery legs and walk towards your Pikmin, attempting to squash them with their platelike body. Throw Purple Pikmin on top of the plate-spiders to smash them apart. Because these can be very dangerous to fight alongside this tough Grub-Dog, consider strategically removing only one or two plates at a time by letting the bomb rock go off only somewhat close to the plates. The actual skin of the Grub-Dog is tan with shades of red and tons of bite marks from the parasites. Once you defeat the Grub-Dog, any plate-spiders that you didn't kill will simply stay attatched to the carcass.
