The Ranged Groink is an enemy that appears in Pikmin X: Deep Freeze. It is smaller than the Gatling Groink and is blue in color. Unlike its relative, the Ranged Groink only ever stays mounted in place, but it has a much greater attacking distance and can gun down Pikmin from afar without having to leave its sentry position. First, it aims with a red laser similar to the Man-at-Legs, then it fires three fast projectiles at its target in quick succession. Leaders and Pikmin can easily avoid the attack by taking cover behind large objects, then charging in to attack while the creature reloads. This creature cannot revive itself after death.
