Wraith Pikmin are a secret breed of Pikmin found in Pikmin: Dimensional Breach. They can only be obtained after completing the game.

Obtaining

After having beaten Derrick, an earthquake will cause a new area to open up in the Perplexing Tropics. This area requires Winged Pikmin to pull up a Clipboard and Blue Pikmin to open up a cave. A single Captain must enter with only Blue Pikmin. Upon entering, a Waterwraith will spawn and chase the Captain. After outrunning it, the Captain will take shelter in an area accessible by a sewer grate that's too low for the Wraith to roll under. In this area, the Wraith Onion will be trapped in a pool of water. Use your Blue Pikmin to free it, and it will produce a single Wraith Pikmin Seed.

Appearance and Properties

Wraith Pikmin are in the shape of a normal Pikmin, but with no eyes or defining characteristics other than a stem ending in the Pikmin's traditional leaf/bud/flower, and bearing a watery, translucent body. When commenting on them, rather than the intrigue that they show with most Pikmin, Captains regard Wraith Pikmin with great unease and fear. Thanks to their ghostly presence, Wraith Pikmin are immune to all Hazards, get a 5.0X attack multiplier, and can even destroy Illusions like Black Pikmin. However, their most powerful ability is to open Rifts to other dimensions. These Rifts have side-quests in randomly-generated maze-like dungeons, adding replay value to the endgame. Not only that, but the Rifts can be used to summon allies for the Captains depending on the active Captain.
