The Acidic Puffstool is an unusual species of sporovid that resembles a regular Puffstool. They have a large, dark green cap with white spots, and two antennas that glow yellow. The cap rests on a bulbous, lime body with two stubby legs.
The Acidic Puffstool doesn’t pursue Pikmin but will attack if provoked. Once Pikmin swarm its legs for a few seconds, it will flip over and wriggle around for a short time, leaving a window of time for attack. Once it rights itself, however, it will retract upwards before pouring out a deluge of acid from its cap that forms a small pool under its feet. The acid will corrode and kill any Pikmin that touch it unless they are resistant to it. The acid itself will dissipate after twenty seconds.
The Acidic Puffstool is best taken on with any Pikmin that are immune to the corrosive properties of acid. The Acidstool can also be defeated by swarming it with heavy-hitting Pikmin and killing it quickly before it has a chance to perform its attack.
