The Axcalivlet is a member of the excalivlet family in Pikmin: Planetary Evolution that evolved to grow strange ax-like tusks, which can swing upward and downward. They are openly hostile to Pikmin but prioritize targeting Pikmin that are of bud- and flower-stage maturity. Upon seeing Pikmin, an Axcalivlet will shuffle over to it and swing its tusks at them to revert their maturity to the leaf stage. After doing so, it will then use its tusks to swiftly chop those Pikmin in half, down the center of their body, effectively killing them without a chance to save their life. Only when no more bud- or flower-stage Pikmin are in an Axcalivlet's vicinity will it then target leaf-stage Pikmin. Axcalivlets are durable but do not take long to defeat if faced with a sizeable horde of Pikmin. When defeated, an Axcalivlet will deteriorate into a pile of fur that is subsequently blown away by the wind.
